Dua Lipa is a Brit singer/songwriter born in London United Kingdom on August 22nd, 1995. Her debut self-titled album debuted in 2017 after she had signed with Warner Bros Records. It climbed to the third spot in the U.K. Chart for Albums. The album released eight singles including Be The Only I.D.G.A.F. as well as New Rules (UK number one). The album also climbed at number 6 within the United States. Lipa's album, which is now been recognized as Platinum in several nations around the globe, won her two Brit Awards (in the year of 2018) in the categories of British Female Single Artist and British Breakthrough artist. Dua Lipa was conceived in London by Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin lilipa (father). Dua Lipa is Bosnian descent via her mother's grandmother. There is also a trace of Lipa's ancestry through Peja within Kosovo. Her grandparents were both historians and professors. Gjin as well as Rina are her sisters. The musical influence of Lipa's came from her father, who is the singer-guitarist of the Kosovan the rock group Oda.
