Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is a playback singer also known as an actress, musician and playback singer. Her main work is as a performer and music composer for Tamil as well as Malayalam-language movies. Annayum Rasoolum was her Malayalam as well as Tamil debut. The actress made her debut in Tamil with Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea Jeremiah was born in an Anglo-Indian family at Arakkonam the capital of Tamil Nadu.Andrea's father is a lawyer with the Madras High Court. Andrea is the youngest sister of a researcher assistant in Leuven, Belgium. Jeremiah was born in Chennai went to National Public School. He was a graduate of Women's Christian College. Andrea began studying classical piano around the age of eight. Andrea was a huge geek who wanted to become psychiatrist. She was part of The Jackson Five style troupe Young Stars at age 10. It was this group that shaped the foundation for her music and singing career. In college days, she also was performing as a theatre artist. She was also in various stage plays arranged through The Madras Players. She was also president of Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea's stage career started with Girishkarnad Nagamandala. In 2006, she was a part-time actress in a new leo advertisement alongside actor Shiva. She also appeared in the series which was broadcast on Podhigai. The actress has appeared all over India. The brief appearance was in the finale of Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). Gautham Menon enlisted Andrea be the main character following her performance. she sang in Vettaiyaadu's Vilaiyaadu. Andrea played Kalyani an housewife, with a husband who has an affair. Andrea was allegedly threatened with a blackmail. Andrea got the part of Kalyani in the wake of Simran Shobana Tabu and other actresses were asked to audition for the role. The film was first released in the year 2010. She agreed in 2011 to play a minor supporting role in Venkatprabhu's multi-starrer Mankatha that was came out in August 2011. Annayum Rasoolum which is a romance film directed by Rajeeev Ravi, which was released in 2013, was her Malayalam debut.
